Scotchshield brand window security film is a clear multilayer polymer film that helps prevent flying glass shards if glass is broken by high winds or intentional damage and even a bomb blast. Instead of being propelled through the air as potentially lethal shards, the glass remains largely held in place by the film. Scotchshield has applications in office buildings, banking, retail facilities, and transportation systems.

3M Security films are available in clear and tinted and can also reduce harmful UV rays, which cause fading, can also reduce heat and glare, significantly lower energy costs by reducing loads on air conditioning systems, both cooling in Summer and heating in Winter.
